2003 Silverado SS
My 2003 Silverado ss started life as a wonderful truck, then I got the itch to start whoopin on Ford Lightnings, so I modified it a bit and then got the itch for Corvettes and Mustangs so I modified it some more. Before I really knew it, I was running 12.5 quarter Mile Times and sub 4.5 0-60 times in a truck that weighs 6300 lbs! Here are my Mods!
2-4 Drop Kit
Installed a BellTech 2-4 drop on this truck and got the stance where a good sport truck should be.
Corsa Exhaust and Long Tube Headers
Its killing me that I don't have or can't find a picture of it, but, I had a Corsa Sport Catback installed and Longtube headers that opened this system wide open and made it one of the loudest trucks I have ever heard!
Magna Charger Super Charger
I installed a Roots style magnacharger supercharger. It was running 8psi and put the truck just shy of the 500 hp range.
Boost Gauge and Fuel Pressure
Once I got into Dyno Tuning the set up, I had to have Boost and Fuel Pressure gauges to keep on top of what was going on with the two essential ingredients of Horse Power. Fuel and Air.
American Racing 22" Wheels
Upgraded the rolling stock to a good 22" wheel and some Baer Brakes front and rear upgrades for better stopping power. The faster you go, the more you need to slow down!
Electric Fan Conversion
Escalades have them, why not the Silverado? The Fans took drag off the motor and also increased efficiency of the Air to Water Inter-cooler for the supercharger. it really helped out on warmer days!
